Thai Cuisine - Simply Delicious !

bang-saen-beach.jpg

Our Cooking School was formed in 1997, due to a great deal of interest from abroad, from both professional chefs and dedicated home-chefs, to be able to study Thai cooking in a professional environment. Also, although there are many cooking schools in Thailand, we believe we are the only one that teaches professional Thai cooking in the English language. At the end of 1998 we received our accreditation from the Ministry of Education.

In conjunction with the Chefs’ Association of Thailand and the Ministry of Labour, we also do a certification programme for professionals. This certification is necessary for any Thai chef wishing to work in the EC countries.

The Royal Thai School of Culinary Arts is located on a private beach in the Seaside Resort of Bang Saen, 88 km Southeast of Bangkok. The public beach in Bang Saen is probably the most popular beach resort in all of Thailand and, amazingly enough, virtually unknown amongst foreign tourists. Bang Saen sports a University, Marine Research Centre (open for visitors), several Thai Pubs with live music, numerous open-air local style Seafood Restaurants as well as a few water sports.

Our School has specially designed Courses for professional chefs and for advanced home-chefs. Each individual course is 5 days long, Monday through Friday. All individual Courses are half day, either 9 - 12:30 or 13:00 - 16:30, so there is also plenty of time to laze in the pool or have a drink on the terrace. Weekends you can play golf, go fishing, scuba diving, Ultra Light Flying or plain old sightseeing. If You are short of time, and wish to take all the Thai courses, You can also take them in a 3 or 5 week intensive (full day) Course.

Notable also, is that the School is a non-profit organization, with all profits going to charity.
